Many phases of dental treatment are available for home-bound individuals. Physically challenged patients can receive excellent state of the art dental treatment.  A digital x-ray unit that looks like a large blow dryer delivers instant images to a lap top computer.  A suit case transforms into a mobile / portable dental unit.  It is equipped with a dental hand piece, saliva ejector, high velocity suction, air/water syringe, holding tank and water container. A portable dental chair is used also.   If it is easier for a patient to be seen in a wheel chair, or even a bed, then the dental team will accommodate accordingly. All instruments used during the dental procedures are sterilized prior to the dental visit. Plastic barriers on the dental equipment and disposable items are used to provide a safe environment. Personal protective equipment is worn by the dental team just like in a dental office.  All of these items are utilized for every dental treatment that can include:  cleanings, exams, x-rays, extractions, fillings, root canals, crowns, bridges, dentures and partials.
